Nayachar is situated on the Hoogly riverbed. This is around 40 square kms in area. Government has decided to take a major thrust in improvement of this area. This area needs to be taken care in order to start prawn production centre. Much improvement has been done in order to come up with the development. Before this development took place, this has become one of the places with the vicinity of many tourists around. You can hire a boat or go for a streamer ride and that would take down to a serene place where you are sure to enjoy. This is hardly half an hour journey.

There are many developments that are being made in Nayachar. You see the chemical factories that are coming up. Nayachar or Meen dwip is a great island that you may find very interesting to explore. You can also enjoy outing at Haldia. You can get your own guest house where you can stay without any issues. One of the new projects that are going to be started there is Aquaculture.
