Get Historic With Mahishadal Rajbari

Mahishadal Rajbari is a nice tourist spot in Haldia, West Bengal. It is counted amongst one of the largest estate that has some of the prestigious historic buildings under its own name. The heritage building and temples are spread out in large area. There are two palaces in this estate and both of them were build along different periods. One was the old palace that was built in 1840 AD. This is also famous as Gopaljew Mandir.  In today’s time, no person could be seen inside the palace.

There was this palace that was newer and that was built in 1937. There is a good collection of all stuffed animals and paintings. You may find many kinds of furniture inside the palace that are worth seeing. All of these are held in the ground floor of the palace. You can view them only if you request for it. In this new palace, you may find some of the family members residing there. The founder of Mahishadal rajbari is Janardhan Upadhyay in 16th century. Many people, who reside in local places, love to visit this rajbari, the main reason behind it being the beauty and pictures queue of the palace. No one would like to miss such place.
